Sidekick All the Light We Cannot See (Audible Audio Edition) Bibliomaniac Randal Schaffer Books

This is a review of Bibliomaniac's Sidekick, NOT William Doerr's novel, All the Light We Cannot See. Amazon's questions about author's writing, violence, sexual content, and narrator are confusing and lead to evaluations of the novel rather than the so-called study guide called Sidekick.

I guess Bibliomaniac believes its lack of proofreading and poor effort to achieve readability by maintaining consistency in formatting in Sidekick is covered by the statement: “All information is generalized, presented for informational purposes only and presented ‘as is’ without warranty or guarantee of any kind.” I gave up attempting to use this so-called book. It’s ideas are easily found – better-edited and nicely-formatted – in several online sources.

1. The manual’s pages are not numbered.

2. On the last two pages, under the heading "Important Quotes," you’ll find a list of 23 quotations. Number 10. is blank.

3. That blank item matches the "Chapter Summaries" blank entries for Part Two, Chapters 33, 34, and 35; Part Three, Chapters 36 and 37; and a mere listing of chapter titles for Chapters 45 to 50.

4. Chapter 68: "January Recess" begins with the following statement: “When schools let’s out for a recess…” Continues with, “Frederick is keen to show Werner is fascination with birds …”

5. “The Analysis of Themes” section begins with neither indent nor “space after” paragraphs; readers must watch for the ends of paragraphs in order to facilitate reading. Pages alternate between indented paragraphs and no indenting.

Sidekick All the Light We Cannot See (Audible Audio Edition) Bibliomaniac Randal Schaffer Books Reviews

I am not at all interested in summaries. This came tome by mistake. I am still not interested in summaries, etc.
Great story about the ordinary people in France during World War Il. Feel in love with the young girl and all she had to do.
This book describe the light of our life that we cannot see.
This light will just be seen when you look deeper into yourself.
For me I still need to chase the light that I cannot see in my life in order for me to move forward and aim success.
Many chapters do not have a summary. The ones that do, don't help with understanding the novel or making the connections as advertised. If you just want one or two sentence summaries to help you recall the chapters, this will help except for the chapters that have no summary. Because the chapters are so short, you don't need this book. WASTE OF MONEY.
ordered this by mistake so wasn't looking for a companion guide for the book. however I did look at it since I had it. don't feel that it was necessary or added to my enjoyment or understanding of the book. if you were reading the book for s book club, this may be helpful to generate discussion but not necessary.
This book is probably the best sidekick out there for All the light we cannot see, a classic read. A sidekick is like a companion to the novel which you read as well side by side to get a better understanding of the novel and probably to gain a new view for the character. This book blends in perfectly with the novel and I loved it. It gives you a new way to look at the characters.
Overall, I highly recommend this book.
History shapes the present and present shapes the future, that is why I love reading about all kinds of history especially the most impactful incidents that happened in the past like the world wars which were some of the most bloody incidents in human history. Hence I was very interested in this book because it puts the spotlight on this era from the perspective of two different persons who witnessed the war. I think the author did a very nice summary of the main book starting from the details review in the introduction section to the brief summary of each chapter and finally the analysis of themes.
